Through DEPT agency, a project was undertaken to promote a leading automotive brand's #2 car model across various global markets. This initiative utilized smart automation techniques, employing 19 motion and static After Effects templates to efficiently render over 5,000 assets. This innovative approach streamlined the production process, reduced costs, and enhanced workflow efficiency.

Automation Process

The automation strategy centered around setting up master templates within After Effects. These templates were designed to accept input data, including copy and video content, as well as specific rules for customization.

Key Steps in the Automation Workflow:

  1. Template Setup: Master templates were established, allowing for easy modification based on input data.
  2. Data Integration: A Google Sheet was created to collect inputs from all markets involved in the campaign. This sheet served as the central repository for necessary information, including text variations, video links, and design specifications.
  3. Automated Rendering: By connecting the After Effects templates to the Google Sheet, automated rendering of assets was enabled. This integration allowed for real-time updates and variations based on the data provided by different markets.
